Antonis Markopoulos
Netcompany

I studied Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Patras (2001-2006) and earned an international MBA from Athens University of Economics and Business (2013-2015). With over 18 years of international experience in software development and testing, I currently work as a Principal Test Automation Engineer at Netcompany (since 2022), successfully managing large-scale European projects involving Apache Kafka, Elastic Stack, Oracle components and enterprise messaging systems, utilizing Citrus Framework, Docker, AWS, Jenkins, Cucumber, Gherkin and Spring Boot for comprehensive functionality testing and automation.

Between 2016-2022, working at Upstream, I achieved significant milestones including developing Java-based automated scripts for mobile marketing platforms in dockerized environments, implementing automated regression tests and end-to-end integration testing pipelines using Jenkins with Continuous Integration practices. During 2008-2016, working at Unify, I successfully created and executed automated test suites using Java, Groovy and IBM Functional Tester across multiple telecommunication platforms including OpenScapeBusiness, OpenScapeVoice, and Hipath systems.

My passion is to explore techniques making test automation more advanced and offering knowledge to new colleagues by creating concrete, useful, easy-to-follow learning paths for them. Throughout my career, I have consistently championed clean code principles and provided technical leadership, ensuring maintainable, scalable solutions while guiding teams toward best practices and excellence in software quality.
