What We’ve Learned Designing Dev Tools for Humans in the Age of AI
Conference (INTERMEDIATE level)
Skalkotas
AI didn’t just change how we write code — it changed how we think about building software.
As AI capabilities accelerate, development teams face a new challenge: how to move faster without losing clarity, trust, or human judgment.
In this talk, we’ll explore how we’re approaching the age of AI as a dev tools company — not by chasing features, but by rethinking fundamentals. We’ll look at the principles guiding our work: human-in-the-loop design, context-aware assistants, agentic workflows with guardrails, and AI experiences that help end users, not overwhelm them.
Using real examples from modern UI tooling — including agentic UI generation, AI coding assistants, conversational theming, and AI-powered interface patterns — we’ll connect strategy to practice and extract lessons any development team can apply. This session is for developers, tech leads, and architects who want to help their teams grow confidently in the AI era, regardless of framework or stack.
