From monoliths to microservices on our own Kubernetes Platform: Would we recommend it to a friend?
Quickie (INTERMEDIATE level)
MC 2
Over the past few years at Allwyn Lottery Solutions, we've moved from running monoliths to our own Kubernetes-based platform that we build and operate ourselves across cloud and on-premise environments.

In this talk, we'll walk through that journey and the decisions behind it:
  • Why we chose to build our own platform ?
  • Why we chose to destroy and recreate our entire infrastructure from scratch for every platform upgrade?
  • What GitOps looks like in practice in our platform?
  • How we are currently improving our platform based on the experience we gained?
